SANTA CLARITA – Another weekend of picture-perfect weather is in store for Santa Clarita, but triple-digit heat is expected to return next week. Santa Clarita temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to hit as high as 106 degrees, said Ken Clark, Accuweather senior meteorologist. “We’ve had a nice respite from the heat for the last couple of weeks,” Clark said. “But it is summer. We still get hot spells.” The weekend afternoon temperatures are expected in the low 90-degree range. Nighttime lows will hit 60 degrees, making for easy, comfortable sleeping weather. “I see it more as mind over matter,” the Newhall man said. “You can be drained by it, but if you think about it, you can snap out of it.” [email protected] (661) 257-5254160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
