first_imgMcCarthy: “It’s been great that we’ve had colder weather and the rain has been replaced with snow.”  Facebook0TwitterEmailPrintFriendly分享The Alaska Department of Transportation has lifted the travel advisory on the Seward Highway at MP 104 and 114. Shannon McCarthy with DOT: “The area was pretty active, but it has quieted down over the past 5 days, which is great.” The advisory was put in place following the 7.0 earthquake that struck on November 30 which caused a rockslide in the area. The advisory was due to continued falling rocks on the Seward Highway at MP 104 and 114. According to McCarthy they are still asking people to use caution in the MP 109 and 114 area especially with the loose rocks under the fresh snowfall.last_img
